Creechurch Capital – the boutique discretionary fund manager – has announced that its latest recruit to their Sports Academy Taekwondo star, Aaron Cook has won a bronze medal at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Manchester.
The World Grand Prix was held in Manchester and brought together 250 top international competitors seeking qualification points for the Rio Olympics in 2016. Aaron had a tough draw and had to beat the Korean open champion and the American Steve Lopez, who is the five times world champion and double Olympic gold medalist. Aaron lost his semifinal bout to the Russian Albert Gaun on the golden point rule, which is used when the bout finishes in a tie.
The tournament organisers had hoped that Aaron would go all the way to the final and have the chance to meet Zolo Muhammad who took Araon’s place at the London Olympics.
John Greenwood, CEO at Creechurch Capital said: “What a tremendous achievement by Aaron considering the very tough draw that he had in order to get to the final. We are immensely proud of to be supporting such a true champion at his sport”
Launched in 2010, the Creechurch Capital has added more than £150million of private client assets in the past 12 months. The award-winning business has achieved this growth internationally and on the Island, remaining dedicated to its Manx roots.
